Dust Settles

    During the summer of 2023, in the midst of unprecedented flooding in my adopted home state, I wrote a song to try to capture the spirit of Vermonters in the face of such devastation. Seeing familiar places submerged and entire communities and livelihoods upended was unlike anything I've ever witnessed. Nevertheless, I'll always marvel at people's resilience when time's get hard.

    I wrote and recorded "Dust Settles" in just a few days, but spent the better part of a month trying to decide the right way to release it. Sometimes the simplest way is the best way. With the urging and support of my bandmates, I'll be releasing this song exclusively on Bandcamp. It's up for grabs for $5, but any and all money raised from sales of the song will go to the Vermont Flood Response & Recovery Fund through The Vermont Community Foundation.
